Candidate, Master of Design for Health in Toronto, Ontario, Canada
As a candidate in North America’s first Master of Design for Health program at OCAD University, I couldn’t be more excited to explore the context of healthcare learning from practitioners in the field. I hope to apply design not only as a tool to problem solve but first, as one that aids people. I’m especially interested in tackling what Horst Rittel calls “wicked problems” in service delivery models and information systems, and have already begun exploring this in my graduate work.
As a web designer, I've collaborated on inter-disciplinary projects from ideation, to prototype to user test, and facilitated standards development and adoption. The human-centered perspective is one that I have always been passionate about, particularly when it comes to people and tech. Being new to the healthcare context, I would be delighted to work with your group and assist on your projects.
